Captain FTP 5.1 Making FTP Simple

At Xnet Communications our work to make Captain FTP the tool you need it to be never stops. The latest fruit of our labour is Captain FTP 5.1 which sees us continue our quest to implement the features requested by our loyal shipmates.

We have enhanced the already robust synchronization module with 'selective' synchronization.

Users may selectively remove folders or files from the synchronization job. This will benefit users by shortening the time taken for 'sync' jobs to run and free up your bandwidth for other transfers.

To compliment the awesome file transferring and management capabilities of Captain FTP, we have made an integration to allow users to burn files to CD/DVD. This allows users to very simply create backups of important files to disc. Simply highlight the files and select the 'burn' module from the toolbar. Add or remove files from the session before burning the files to disc.

We have also added increased support to make accessing iDisk even easier. Create an address book entry for your iDisk and from Protocol select the iDisk option. Captain FTP has preset options to make the connection simple for you.

Captain FTP is a shareware product and its license key costs $25. For an additional $15 users can purchase Upgrade Protection which entitles users to receive all upgrades and updates for free for 12 months.

User of version 4.5 and older
Users of older versions, such as 4.5 or lower, may proceed with the update and use this version freely for the 14-day trial period only. When the trial period expires it will be necessary to buy the Upgrade License key using one of the following options:

Captain FTP 5.1 Upgrade with Upgrade Protection $29 – (12 months of free updates)
